You can get a grooved one from the parts store if you want. Just have to look at the boxes for ones that are grooved and same diameter.

I ended up putting in the A/C compressor...

My tensioner pushes DOWN, not up.

Sorry if I'm asking something thats already been said...

Does anyone know of a aftermarket 3 pulley (4 bolt crank,Alt, standard rotation water pump) serpentine belt setup that is available.

I know March Performance makes a setup, but I don't really want to spend $200+ for three pulleys.

Finding the grooved Alternator and single slot crank pulley isn't difficult, it's the clockwise rotation grooved water pump pulley that seems to be hard to find.

Someone told me certain late 80's early 90's Crown Vics came with this water pump setup, but I haven't verified that yet.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I use an 89 5.0 crown vic water pump with my setup. But I am using the March pulley kit. Don't know what else you can use that won't invole the spring loaded tensioner. I'm sure there's a way to use the serpentine crank, alt., and crown vic water pump and pulley, and a spring tensioner. might need to change the angle or direction you mount the tensioner.

    Guys,

Using the tensioner is a good thing. It is one of the reasons why the manufacturers swithed to serpentines. Belts will have harmonic waves that travel through them at different engine speeds, and the tensioner is what gets rid of them.

I know it looks cleaner without them, and some folks are probably doing just fine running them that way ... just sayin' ... :tiphat:

Not aftermarket but I just picked up an 80's Crown Vic serpentine setup (grooved standard rotation water pump pulley, crank pulley, alternator pulley and power steering pulley) for $40 on a Mustang forum classifieds section.
