There is a mustard color 4dr Comet, not sure of the year. I will look what is good on it. Utility shelf from the dash would be easy to ship, and I've seen a few on ebay. Hood would be expensive. Best bet is to watch ebay for the smaller parts and to put a wanted ad here in the "parts wanted" forum. As far as a hood, check the wrecking yards around you. I know of a good one at a yard about an hour away from me. It's on a 75 2dr Comet. But shipping would be a killer.

Yea, shipping would kill me. Only one place i have "heard" has a comet and a maverick.
The rest are long gone..... How much do you think it'd cost to ship the utility shelf, and what would you want for it?

If I find a good one, I'll ask the guy that owns the place. He and I are on good terms, so it should be reasonable. I'll let you know next week. I will first get over there next Monday or Tuesday. Also, do a search on ebay motors for Maverick and look at the recently listed auctions. There are a ton of decent side marker lights that were just listed. I'll take my camara too and get more photos of some of the other cars.

You might want to look into Greyhound for shipping a hood. Seems to me they had a pretty reasonable flat rate for large items.

I've heard that too, Greyhound. I could see paying the freight if it was a really cherry grabber hood or an original Comet GT hood, but with a little digging, a decent plain hood for either car should be able to be found locally anywhere in the country.

See I got a GT hood, but the hood itself is junk
Id prob pay Greyhound, even tho its a good 45 min drive to pick it up due to no locations here.

    New Pictures

Made it over there again and I checked on some items that people were asking about. Took some new pictures too.

For Andysutt: There is a Comet hood on a 4 door. Rust does not seem bad but it is burried under an old wooded fence gate. You can see how buried in the one picture, just to the left of the 2 Ford Skyliner retractable hard tops! I did not find a good side marker light on the other cars and no utility shelf / package trays. I did find some moldings for Dennis - maybe.

My camara ran out of memory (never had that problem with film) or I would have taken more pictures. I have been to this place many times and I have never seen it all. One of those pics has a Mustang Cobra up in the trees!

I did get 2 sets of Mustang high back bucket seats from 1973 cars and a set of cherry sport mirrors.

Find out what he wants for the hood... if its cheap enough, I'll consider shipping it
    I really need a hood :(
Is there a good gas cap on it?

Well, I made it back over today and dug out that Comet to take a look at the hood for you. It is very nice with no major damage and only some light rust on the front edge, as most of them have. I have no way to ship this for you, I don't get anywhere near a Greyhound station. If you really want to get it, send me a PM and I will give you his name and phone number. You can make arraingments with him on price and shipping. He will give you a fair price on the hood I'm sure. But shipping is going to be crazy. No gas cap by the way. There have been some really nice Comet gas caps on ebay lately for under $15.

I'm pretty sure it is a 77. Drivers door is too close to that Skyliner to open so I never saw the tag. If you get a chance to come up to Wisconsin, it would be worth taking home with you.
