i like that stance. my 71 seems to have a high nose. i've thought about cutting a coil off also. i've also thought about changing to a 3 leaf rear. to see if it will squat a little more when i take off.
Personally, I'm done with low cars. They look great but are more a pain in the ass than they're worth.
i had the same experience when i added my 4 leaf springs. it did not dramatically change ride height but handling and stance improved. i have my front springs cut 1 1/2 coils and it dropped it almost 4" from stock. i also have a slight lean to the drivers side but it is so slight i don't think i will mess with fixing it. love the yellow car. part time's yellow is an attention grabber just like your paint. good job
No one said anything about making them low. Mine isn't low, just dropped the front a little bit. Then something is wrong, like the springs are no good, or from a 6-cyl. car. I cut 1 coil from stock springs and it dropped 1-5/8 of an inch. I doubt that another half-coil would have dropped it 4-inches...
I would get some 550lb springs with the 1" drop from a Mustang vendor. NPD had em and they are about $75 bucks. The increased rate dramatically improves handling, and the drop will be even on both sides. A lot less screwing around that way. The photo shows the NPD springs vs the stock V-8 springs. Even though the drop would look severe from this photo, it was only about an inch due to the rate.
