Thanks everybody for all the advice I think that is exactly what I was looking for. I think that my goal will be to do what gsjohnson did and save all my money for a 5.0 EFI car. Maybe not but it would be a good goal and I think that I always wanted a muscle car and now I have one I shouldnt let a little set back take away that dream. I think I'll take the platform I have in there now and take it where I need to go with it. Thanks alot everybody for all you time. Hopefully I'll see you on the road soon!!!! Next school year (Fall).

You'll find many success stories here and elsewhere. In my situation, I found a Stallion at a car corral and drove it home for $550. Another $3000 later, and it's mostly back to it's former glory. Now don't let anyone tell you that you're ever really done with these cars, and I don't just mean Mavs. These cars have a way of growing on you and the versatility to do just about anything you want, or can afford, to them is astounding. I wasn't necessarily looking for a Mav when I found mine, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. They're great cars, relatively easy to work on or modify, get plenty of attention wherever you take them, and aren't run of the mill. Most of the Mav owners you'll come into contact with are the best, also. There's too many Mustangs, Camaro's, etc. out there and you'd be pleasantly surprised how many people at shows and cruises like seeing the Mavs and Comets as they aren't as common. Good luck on the project!
