i have worked with 3 different intakes on differnt mavs. a edelbrock performer rpm, a wieand stealth, and a victor jr. the vic jr put the top of the carb right under the hood leaving no room for the air cleaner. on that car they had a second hood that had a snorkel type scoop on it that allowed for room for an air cleaner. you may want to consider a cowel hood or a hood scoop. that would give you room to run that intake and give you a custom look on the out side also.
