Probably, plus the $8000 from Hagerty, I would guess.

But, I don't plan on keeping it in the garage but for another 2-3 weeks max...:bananaman

That last part has me screwed, as I don't own a garage that can be locked. Only have a open on two sides carport on the house. Anybody know of a insurer that doesn't require a locked garage to get classic car insurance?

I to have hagerty insured for $12.500 was $11.500, but they gave me that same sales pitch about current collector car prices are on the rise crap when i renewed ,so my car is now worth more on its roof than it's wheels i guess, but at any rate i just supplied pictures, they didn't say a word. good luck

jb70, yours is painted and looks GREAT (at least in that tiny picture under your name). It looks like it is worth at LEAST $12000!!!:thumbs2:

I have my Sprint insured for $29K through Hagerty. I had it appraised but Hagerty did not want a copy of it, just a few pictures. The locked garage thing is not an issue unless your car gets stoled from your house. Then they could deny the claim. Its a gamble. I have 4 cars insured through them and as far as they know, they are all locked in a garage. Hagerty, and probably all other collector car insurance companies, will not insure your car while it is involved in racing. So dont wreck it on the track. If you do, drag it up the road and put it up against a tree before you call them :D

Hmmm, got a giggle out of that one...:D

I had read on here a couple years ago where a couple of guys had to make claims and they reported that they went fairly easy. I don't remember who they were. They were the main reason I left my regular car insurance company and went with collector car ins.
