You sure you didnt hit Wyle E. Coyote in the head with it>? :bananaman Looks good. Powder coat mine red.....lol
Whats it do? Get in the way while working on your engine! No really, very nice job. I love fabricating my own stuff. To answer the question, it is to help keep the shock towers from flexing during hard cornering, like in a road race course like Monte Carlo, hense the name. Shock tower flex can increase the bump steer effect inherent to Ford uni-body cars like the early Mustangs and Mavericks.
why not watkins glen bars? i guess i better put one on mine then.i am hoping to get to play some on the road course here at watkins glen ny.
fan2488; Are you going to try to produce these bars....and if so, when. Sure would like one if you do. Thanks,
my shock tower braces are held in with pins, then you turn the bar and tighten them. each end is threaded in the opposite direction. just loosen, pull the pins, and lift them out of the way. just an idea.
I'll take one too! Ok, so when can I drive down and pick up a kit? I 'm in Dallas now and can drive down one weekend, I could bring some steel for several kits or something .
