I paid $89 for mine from autokrafters a few years ago used. The next catalog I got had a new one listed for just over $100
Thanks, I'll check em out. Really didn't want to fool with another 36 year old part that might break in a week.
The switch is now $140, the cam is $20. I guess I'll have to take it apart first to see what exactly broke before ordering. It may just be the cam.
Thanks, but your route is out, I'm not about to replace my headers with exhaust manifolds and choke the 331 to death.
I also like the Borgensen setup which is in the future for my steering upgrade. Probably, near future. Im not giving up my pwr steering and like the 16 to 1 steering ratio along w/ the fact I don't have the where-with-all to do a rack setup. Nor, do I want to have the car out-of-service for long period of time when I can be using it. I have talk to some guys that converted their Stangs, they were happy w/ the upgrade. Also, we have a member here that made the conversion and he likes it "Markso125". http://www.mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=85596
I think you may find any R&P conversion will negate the use of "off the shelve" long tube headers. Shorties should work or there should be amble room for a custom set. So far I haven't seen any complete set ups other than the complete MII swaps to know for sure.
Baddad457, you are currently at 4570 posts, that is kinda cool! I found my NOS turn signal cam/switch on ebay for about $40 a couple years ago. Actually, fan2488 and I both found it at the same time and were bidding on it. He knew I was looking for one, and didn't realize that I was bidding on it as well. Finally, we both realized that our ebay names and forum names had some numbers in common, he called me and asked if I was bidding on it, and said he was bidding on it just so he could get it for me! DO NOT use the HELP cam. It is crap. The original cam has a metal backing plate. If nothing else, remove the rivets, and put the HELP cam on that metal plate, and re-rivet it or glue it or something. Without the metal plate, that cam is crap.
Thanks for the heads up. Might try Ebay, although I'm leary of using a 40 year old plastic part. Even stored, some plastic tends to degrade over long periods of time.
