That is about what I am shooting for...shouldn't break the block, but should be fun for playing with the local cops...er, kids! :evilsmile

I just cannot decide if I want a mild engine blown, or a NA 450hp motor...

There's nothing mild about a blown 450 hp small block. Better have some killer heads on that bad boy. The blower isn't going to double your HP output. If it adds 100 ponies, you'll be increasing the VE by 33% or better, which is pretty good.

Just to keep you in the ball park, the new Shelby GT-500 is making 500 hp on a 5.4L 4 valve DOHC engine. You're knocking on that door. The 4 valve head flows almost 300 CFM at 28" on the cold side. The 4V head on the blown 4.6L ('03-'04 cobra) flows about 260 at 28" on the cold side and 170 on the hot side. It was putting down 390 HP.

You'll need to flow over 200-250 cfm at least on the cold side to keep boost pressure down to something managable.

I've got a set of the Ford GT 5.4 four valve heads here. Out of the box with a standard three angle valve job the intakes flowed 354 cfm at 28" with a 3.50" bore plate. Yeah.....they're bad mofo's. :D

And only $1600 a piece on the FRPP website!! LOL!!! I'm just keeping my eye on the bone yard until one of those comes in. It's only a matter of time before 500 HP seperates someone's dollars from their sense.

Modular and cheap sure don't go together...
