Thanks Mavaholic, That $150 price sure sounds better than $330. I just need to make up my mind on the coating. That might still put the price at $300.

The $330 price is coated from Summit. You can buy also buy a coated set directly from Jet Hot Coatings for $330. Without coating the headers are $150

A tid-bit I picked up about Hooker headers...
They only coat the outside of their headers when you get their product already coated.
If you get an uncoated set that was done by Jet-Hot, they do inside and out. It is also said to be a much better coating.

That said, IMO coating is "snake oil", but keep this in mind if you must have coated headers.

I just called Jet Hot. They have the better coating. They also put a shiny chrome like finish on top. I will be buying it from them. You have been a big help.

I`ve seen two sets of 6901`s that were coated (one set is mine) Hookers coating had fallen off like cheap paint. Hooker told me on the phone that they would`nt do anything about it...but would be glad to re-coat them for $150.00 !!

If your car will be out in the elements and/or used a whole lot, dont spend the money on Hookers coating. Its crap. At best when left outside, I've seen it start looking bad after a few months. The headers are great, its just their coating sucks. I've had a set on my car for 2 yrs now but it never sees bad weather and only has about 1200 miles on it. My buddy keeps his outside and within a year, his looked like 10 yrs old.

Jet Hot quoted me $279 to coat a used set of headers.

I am not speaking from personal experience, just from several years on a Camaro board where Jet-Hot was king and several of their reps posted... they were a sponsor too. So I consider my info to be first hand as it can get:

Jet-Hot will generally sell you a new set of headers that they have bought from Hooker and coated themselves, cheaper than if you ship them your headers and have them coated and shipped back to you.
Last I had checked, shipping is free if you buy header and all from them.
