    GT Identification...

I have seen Comet GT's with several different colors of interiors.
Red, black, blue, green, white, orange and black, tan/saddle.
I have never seen a Comet GT without factory bucket seats.
I have been told by some folks that they all had buckets but
I do not know this to be a fact.

I have seen the following color stripes on Comet GT's.

    1-Black-most popular
2-Silver/argent- on black cars, the taillight panel was black or silver.
    3-Gold
    4-Orange-with the orange interior
5-White-I have seen this on black, orange, blue (dark and light)and red
6-Blue-kind of grabber blue, it was on a white car with blue interior.
7-Red- again on a white car.
The hood scoop striping has always been in black regardless of the color of the stripes.

I have owned my Comet since 1984. I had 5 buddies in high school who owned Comet GT's. I wish I had pics of them.
I have a pic of one of them. I tried to buy one of them, a black one, a couple of years ago. That car has spent most of it's life in street or bracket drag racing. The last time I saw it the guy wanted $8K for it. It probably doesn't have 50,000 miles on it.
