help with chosing intake manifold and headers

    You can buy mandrel bent S tubes made for connecting sidepipes.
    The only thing I can't stand about sidepipes is they are very restrictive.
    You should be running 2.5" exhaust on a decent V8, and the sidepipes are (appear to be) 3" tubes, but the inlet and core are only usually 2"! Too small for performance, especially after putting your exhaust flow through all those turns needed to hook up.

    Cheap Headers typically= poor fit, or no fit.

    I have used hedmans with great success.

    If you want I have a used set of hedman wlite headers. Far from new but heavy duty. They came coated with hedmans economy coating. It wore off in some areas but could be blasted and painted. They fit nice on my car, Anybody interested let me know with a PM.

    The elites have thicker flanges and piping.

    I have two new sets of headers so these are just collecting dust.
