On a four door, the data sticker is stuck on a metal plate that is rivited to the front driver's door.

Reckon the seats were recovered in maroon? Or dyed? If that is even possible? IF they are original, they are perfect. Should I get a standard report, and buy a new door jamb sticker?

Cut the seat, underneath where no one will see it, and see if it was dyed? Maybe....

We now know why the data sticker says "Not valid for title or registration". I am pretty sure this is the first "wrong decal" car I have seen.

It probably went on the four door, right after lunch that day...:)

This is interesting.. Probably would never happen, but I would love to track that thing down. Probably rusted to the ground by now.. I think I'll get a Marti Report and a new sticker, should I take that sticker off? Or keep it just to say I have a four door Grabber?

I'm gonna agree with this... Not much doubt, the wrong data sticker was put on the car, VINs are similar enough that whoever did the application screwed up... Maybe had a hangover??

I have a couple Friends that have errors on their data sticker/plate, one is a Boss 429 Stang with wrong digit in VIN, the other is a 390 Cougar that's stamped as having 289... Titles are correct on both vehicles...

I would probably keep the "wrong" sticker on the car just for a conversation piece. Save the Marti Report sticker for a display of what should be on the car.

    Same here...

Could get the orig from Marti with the correct codes(fairly easy with a shop manual), and place it in there as well... Only thing you won't know is the DSO and if it's a local car should be 22 (Charlotte)... For additional fee he will research the VIN, create a report and reproduce what should have been on it...

When I ordered mine I used all the orig codes even though exterior and interior are now different colors...

Or it was a clip and if I follow this a 4 door was wrecked in the back and they clipped a 2 door back on it cut at windshield pillars and middle like right under front seats.
