help 245 60 15 tires rubbing

    I will sum it up for everybody:

    Those wheels are WAY to wide

    Those air shocks WILL eventually plunge thru your trunk floor.

    I can testify to that. when i bought my car, the shock was still hanging in the floor board between trunk and back seat.:yup:

    0526101122-01_original.jpg you cant tell but i have the bracket reinforced with some welds.

    as for backspacing what should i get for the backs? 15x8 wheel but offset and backspacing?

    So its the stock bracket with welds?:hmmm: that isnt going to solve it (or so im told:D)

    All cars are little different, things get tweaked, people change rear ends, etc. For example, I have 15x8s but with 6" backspace. You know what you have now, using that as a guide, measure to see what will fit.

    Welding the brackets will be of no benefit. It is the thin steel that the brackets are fastened (now welded) to.
