hi! i've got 1976 302 with 61000 miles original and my transmission was long to change betwen the 2 and 3 gear . i did change the oil who was very hold ,put a transmission treatment (lucas) in it had the band adjust and it still was almost the same , so i was thinking to get it rebuilt when another comet owner told me to check my modulator and get one adjustable ,i did it adjust it and everithing is fine no more slip betwen the change of gear. i did save a lot of money.bye ghislain
