Headers before or after engine install?

    Wow! My 6901s will not go in without taking the engine off the mounts and jacking it up about 3". Even then, very tight fit. One had to go in from the top, the other from the bottom. Tried it, and there was no other way they were going to go in.

    when i change my engine, i think i am going to change over to the shorties. i only have about 3 inches of clearance to the ground. a little more sure would be nice.

    You could always jack the front end up and give it the "gasser" look...

    I guess Scott and I have the same luck... or we're dealing with a bunch of jokers cause mine will not go in unless I have the engine jacked up as mentioned. :16suspect

    Next set of exhaust leter outers will be the shorties...be awhile tho. :drive:

    I won't give up on the long tubes. Just cannot beat the sound and performance. Worth the hassle to install them and take it easy over speed bumps...
