Got my New Tranny Today!!!! And it's a Yellow One!!!

    wow that sure is pretty,would really show nice with black engine compartment.And it sounds like it should hook up good on the throttle(y)

    make sure to put a quart or 2 of fluid in the converter before you install it

    You guys, this is supposed to be "the ugliest transmission you'll ever love".
    That has been the most frequent comment I get when people first see the yellow transmissions. Running a close second is, "Why yellow?"
    Thanks for all the kind words...
    If you are travelling from out of state to get a transmission give me at least two weeks advance notice - or plan to spend some time here.

    Why does it seem like so much good Mav/Comet stuff around Washington??
    I'd have one of those trannys sitting in my basement as a back up if I were closer. Planning on building one anyhow just in case. I can swap the trans in a few hours at work but dont have anywhere to put the car during a rebuild. Be nice to have one ready to go.

    Looks just like mine. Gotta love yellow. It's a hell of a good trans. I'm tickled pink with mine. Matt, what tork converter are you putting in it? 2500 rpm?

    it'll just be the stock torque converter... for now atleast :D
