I really did want to save that car, but after doing as much work as I had to do on the Grabber, I said I never wanted to do that much work to restore a car again. It was a very hard decision to make, with it being my first car and having it almost 20 years. Unfortunately it would have taken me another 20 years to replace everything on it that needed replaced. I am going to cut the back four inches or so of the car off and hang it on my garage wall as a keepsake. I think I am going to finally do a small-bumper conversion on it though. When I pulled the vinyl roof off last year, I was shocked to see how good the metal was -- it was not pitted at all. The rust around the windshield and along the a-pillars I knew about. Good luck on the roof replacement Bob. I hope to see the car next year with the new roof on it.
