Looks to be an 86 5.0. That particular style and look of the intake plenum badging (5.0 Liter EFI) was found on that year. Also the date code E6---- designates it an 86. Like the date codeing on Maverick parts, the later Ford codes are similar... 1960s = C, 70s = D, 80s = E, etc, followed by the last didgit of the year. In your case E6, so 86. The 86 HO 5.0 was the first year sequential efi for the stangs. In 85 some had a wierd CFI system.

    Corbin,

Thanks for the info, do you know if there is some kind of service or internet site that will give you all the engine info/history based on those numbers? I was told you could find out all kinds of information if you utilized that code. I've done some searching on Google, but no luck yet...

    Thanks!

    re: Baby moons.

Axially, with chrome rims, I kinda like 'em. I believe Preston (Country Mav) has them on his car.

I was kinda thinking of putting a set on mine (when/if I cruise the streets).

    I agree, nice 'shed'. (y)

Well, those baby moons are going bye bye soon. I have a lead on getting some of the Maverick aluminum slotted wheels, which is what I would rather have anyway for the Stallion clone (like Wilbur & Susan Green's Stallion, see pic attached). One step at a time....
