The bumpers are the same but they changed the rear bumper guard style in 73 so they would match the front bumper guards on the 73 front bumper.

 

Yeah one of those junkers is a 73 that has guards and they are like the BB kind

 

MavMan .. I have already checked for NOS door emblems for myself ... they don't have any ... I can get you just about any part number from 70 - 72 and usually figure out the later years ...

I can tell you for sure they do not have Grabber hoods or J-Chrome mouldings. I check for them every once in a while ...

 

BTW, Like mavman said, is there a way we can find out the part numbers so we can look things up on there do you have a list of them?

THe CD's contain the shop manuals and the parts manuals.

THey are broken down buy part group and not car model so there is no way to list just Maverick parts ...

 

70-72 bumper guards are the same.
'73 the rears are bigger and sit farther apart.

 

Here is a sample Illustration page ... once you have the part group you have to cross-reference it in the Text manual for the actual part number

 

OK ... since I'm into Maverick trivia ... someone post a pick of the rear 73 bumpers guards ..

Maverick Name-Plate Emblem On Trunk Lid
Maverick Name-Plate On Grill.
BTW, Does Green Sales have any Factory Thin Exterior Trim like your 74 has?

 

THanks ... Seth I know your looking so keep in mind ... If the part # has a 54 in it - its for a 4-door ...

For example ... even though he doesn't list it as such this will not fit a 2-door Maverick ..

Those are the right guards on that Yellow Comet but they are not in the right place.

 

Rear Comet bumper guard mount locations are different than Maverick bumpers due to the taillight location. So they are in the right place for a Comet.

Maverick73 ... If you would like to start a new thread I can supply part numbers and list them when I have the opportunity to look them up .. it can be a bit tedious locating the part in Fords manuals and bouncing back and forth between books to get the proper part number.

 

So there is a difference in the decklid moulding between 4 doors and 2. I was not sure.
