Nice buy ... nice 57 there too. Looks like that guy knows what he is doing. I think those wheels on the Mav are early Mustang. (65-66)
That's an awesome deal!! (nice trailer BTW) I've never seen a Maverick with styled steel wheels, they look pretty good. Enjoy!!
He tells me the wheels are for a Cougar, they look just like the Mustang wheels though. I didnt even get out of town with the car before I was confronted about the car, while at the gas station a guy just about fell down walking across the lot looking at the car, he has a 72 Grabber that he bought for $250.00 that needed some parts her asked what year the car was of course when I told him it was a 69 1/2 the confussion began, it is surprising how many so called Maverick people didnt know that they made a 69 1/2. At anyrate he said it made his day to see another Maverick. Gave him my email and will communicate with him more I am sure. Then another guy came up and wanted to buy the wheels and tires right off of the car, said he had some rollers and only lived as few blocks away, I would have sold them to him but wanted to get home. They do look good on car but are too wide on the front and rub on tight turns, they are 15s.
Heres a pic of the motor, its one of the main reasons I bought the car. I will be putting a lot of the parts one my Blue 72 Maverick and the rest of the stuff will probably find places on some of your guys cars.
I was wondering if anybody would notice that, I just put it on for picture and didnt pay any attention. I think it will still work just really hard to hook throttle cable. LOL
Nice find. You should be able to sell those Cougar style steel wheels for a decent price. They do look nice on the car though. Great deal.
yup, correct for 65-67 Mustangs. the 65-66 has red center caps and the 67's came with blue center caps (from the factory)
Hey, Mike let me know if you part it. Your blue car is so nice, it would be good to put some of those great pieces on to it. Anyway, keep us posted on what you do.
