I don't think the pump works faster, just the cost rings up faster.

Have had this laying in my garage for several years now, came off a '76. For some reason I've just never bothered to try putting it on my '72 yet, though that was what I intended to do when I found it in the Pull-A-Part several years ago. After 136,000 miles, I hate to think how many gallons of gas I've lost on the ground due to the dreaded spit back. Maybe I'll try sticking that filler neck on tomorrow.

I put the late model filler neck with the flapper on my '74 and it stopped the splash back. Then again here in GA we don't have the big rubber boot on the nozzle at most of the gas stations like some States have. I try to avoid the stations that have the funky nozzle.

All of the stations around here have the rubber boot on the nozzle.

    Did you ever look?

It now comes up Number 1.

I bring this up because the Ford TSB FINALLY sold today. Maybe I should have just bought the darn thing.

Holy %$#! I thought it was just my 75 Maverick that did this. At least it is reassuring to know there are others that have to take 10 minutes to fill up. Sucks in bad weather though.
