Let's get one thing straight here, a Factory 5 Cobra weighs 2245lbs without driver or a full fuel cell............I'm helping a neighbor down the street putting his together.....................and the only car I know that would qualify for 1500lbs is an old Austin-Healey Sprite.............and we all know what a little stock 289 does to the straight line performance............just not too good around corners at speed.

So...................we really need to talking about HP to Weight ratio, right?

My Maverick weighs a chucky 3325lbs with 5 gallons of fuel and me in the seat.

i was just talking about cars that are stock and not modified in any other way.. if you want to talk weight to hp ratio's just look up an Ariel Atom

This car has been on my dream list for some time. They have a v8 version now. Insane.

I saw one of these, I think it was an Ariel in 2007 at Thunderhill being tested, and they are fast. I'm not an open car kind of person but it would be fun to run around a track like Thunderhill/Laguna Seca.
Just a little out of my price range at $85k, but a neat track only car....IMHO

Top Gear featured a 500+ hp Atom the other day. I was thoroughly impressed. That thing is just my style, but definitely out of my price range. I used to argue with my Dad about building a mid 20's Track T with a small high RPM, high HP lightweight engine of some sort, but now I wouldn't have to.:character0182:
