How long can the two starter motors run under load before overheating or burning up?

they're not traditional starter motors, they're purpose built starter motors.

When they can increase the power by 100% verified on a dyno it's not a gimmick. I know it looks that way because of the wild colors, but the same can be said towards muscle car guys and their gaudy excessive chrome.

There's a ton of info on this setup online which you can find by googling.

As for "Ricer car" that is a very derogatory racist term which I do find offensive since I have Asian heritage.

They have been used in many other areas for various amount of times before burning up.

I know back in the day starter motors were used to power a lot of equipment on farms. Today they're still used in a lot of conversion such as bumper cars when they're taken off the track.

Common sense guys...that really is just a bathroom fart fan.

At least the leaf blowers have some horsepower behind them. Fart fans don't even get the fart smell out of my bathroom. Even with a SMALL fart...

One of the magazines (Car Craft???) did a dyno test with the dual leaf blowers and got 15-20 hp increase. That is with some pretty good blow from those machines. That fart fan won't do crap but lighten your wallet.

Just my $.02. If you're looking for inexpensive power get a nitrous set up. In a former life I had a Neon that ran mid 12s. It had a Stratus four cylinder (basically a stroker version of the Neon engine), bolt ons, small cams and a hundred shot. With the right precautions almost any stock engine can live with a 75 shot and sometimes more.

Let's see......................the car it's mounted on has all of 75HP. So now it's got 150hp (with 150 ft lbs torque) As for the "ricer" term, I'm sorry you feel that way, but it's not a term I came up with. It was a term well earned 10-15 years ago when this kind of crap was still a fad. The fad has run it's course, it's just a shame the term stuck. And it's in no way "racist" anymore than "redneck" is. And I are a redneck. ;) And I eat rice, I just don't feed it to my car. If you feel the term is racist, then you've got more problems than I can help you with.

I used to feel the same way. I found using colder plugs, a high volume fuel pump, 93 octane, timing retard and a progressive controller all helped the car live. I also installed a remote bottle opener which was fun... It all added up to a great nitrous experience. I'm going turbo on that car (if I ever finish the project) so the nitrous kit will go to the Maverick.

I'll stop crapping up the thread now but I've had the thought before to make the Neon a "hybrid" by using an electric motor or two to drive the rear wheels to get AWD type launches. Somebody will do it sooner or later.

I've used an electric winch that's powered by a standard Ford starter. It has run 15min at a time under a pretty good load and just gets warm! All those race ones have to do is a ΒΌ mile! What's that, about 10secs? :thumbs2:
