flex plate

    what type of flex plate dose a 200 have on it and can the bellhousing be used for a 302

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Cant use a 200 bell housing or flex plate on a 302 size/bolt patterns are different.

    yup, 200's are way different from anything else. they're just a plate w/o ring gear. in a 200, the ring gear is actually on the torque converter.

    you'll need a 302 specific flywheel, either 157 or 164 tooth, and either 28 oz. or 50 oz. balance

    ya i just had a friend give me a 71 comet and im trying to see what parts are usable its in good shape but has a messed up title

    So I am guessing that for my 302 swap I will need to find a torque converter also?
