Big bumpers on Comets....I dunno. When I see my dad driving the 76 Comet I think the bumpers just look horrible, but maybe it's the color of the car that makes the bumpers look worse. I like the small bumper cars anything before 73.

Me tinks you are right with that last part...... I personally like the 71-72, but I guess that's because I am partial to my own. BUT, I have to admit, my MOST favorite Maverick is the Shelby Maverick belonging to the next door neighbor.........I can't find anything out about it though. Every time I try to talk to him, he is singing, mostly it's some song about hound dawgs or heartbreaks and hotels or blue shoes...... Really strange guy my neighbor........ Preston :162:

Well, seeing how both of my Mavericks are big bumpered, I am kind of attached to them and would not change them to small bumpers. I live in deer and bear country, and a small bumpered car is no match for a large animal. Truth be known, I like ALL the Mavericks. I don't care what size bumper it has, it's still a Maverick and that's all that counts to me.:)

If I had to choose I would take the 71-72 Grabber.

    year/bummpers

I like the small bumpers myself. I've got a 71 2dr. nice clean lines. that whatever year with the small bumpers that have 2 little verticals are cool also.

not to say big bummpers arn't cool, quite the contrarie. just not my bag baby.

    Big bumpers all the way...

Big bumpers all the way for me. I think they look tougher and more masculine. In my opinion it also gives the car good anchor points as well. I know I'm the minority in this thinking, and I'm sure the fact that my first car was a '76 Stallion does sway my opinion, but I just wanted to get a strong vote in for the "big bumper" version. Can I get a "hell yeah", lol!
