Check out the new thread with a poll to see if or who would like to do this BBQ. "Knott's Show BBQ-April 2006"
Im thinkin of going down friday night, hang out with the wife and kid at knotts on sat during the day, go to the que on sat night, hang out for a few hours on sun and leave around noonthirty. if the weather is clear, ill probably go 395. its quicker for me and more scenic. thanks for the caravan offer though merc.
Got my confirmation in the mail today, I'm in class #28...Looking forward to meeting everyone in California. Can't wait to caravan into the show, & park together...also looking forward to the BBQ Saturday night, providing I get into LA at a decent time...
Hey guys! I just got an email from Grabber71 (Vancouver, BC). He's going to caravan down with me, to the Knotts show. He's driving his 71 Grabber. I told him to get his registration in ASAP. If we make it at a good time Saturday, we'll be at the BBQ. Then we'll meet up with everyone Sunday morning, so we can park together... Hotrodbob, how many of us are going to be there so far?
Ok..looks like I'm almost set. I got my days off and I sent in my prereg today...any idea as to how long it will take to get confirmation of my booking from Knott's? Now I just have to put the car back together...its going to be a long month!
One of the people in my Falcon club is working on registration and it just takes a couple of weeks at the most for them to reply with your confirmation.
That's correct. It took about two weeks to get my confirmation back from them. Alright!! Looks like the Pacific Northwest will be well represented at the Fabulous Fords Forever Show. Good recognition for the MCCI at this show also...
I have to get my car back together also. All the suspension is off the car. Going to be a long month is right!
Man you guys are brave, put it together and drive for 30 hours each way. i must be getting weak in my old age:16suspect. good luck
30 hours?!!!! You must be kidding! I drive it in 20 hours (straight thru). I hope I never get as old as you Sierra grabber....LOL
I have trouble going 2 hours between getting rid of excess water wieght. How do you do it? I've heard you can use a paper bag, but ya gotta get rid of it real fast......... and carefully!
