i paid 308.00 for 2 1/2 pipes from headers all the way out back and 2 40 series flow master mufflers.... looks good....but the drivers side is a little low... due to header being a little low.... i asked them to straighten it out more...extra 150... i said dont worry about it...

300 is about right for flowmasters...
but for glasspacks... hmm... go buy your own mufflers and then take them to the shop

but then again..it depends on where you live....everything is expensive here in tucson....

    california is worse...

midwest...where most of you all live....its cheap to do everything..( i just hate the humidity)

but i might be moving to Davenport, Iowa in Feb-Mar 2006...

To me this seems like one of those things you pay to get it done right the first time and then hopefully you won't have to worry about it again for a long while.

I had 2 1/2 pipe plus collectors ran to the rear end, provided my own mufflers and they turned them down. 180.00 and it's professional looking.

If you had it done at my shop, you'd be looking at between $300 - $400.....All custom bent & exiting where you want it....

Well maybe the price isn't too bad after reading all the posts. also he isn't custom bending the pipe he said it was all pre bent. But good news... I found a mechanics shop that will custom bend with all new hangers etc. and put on turbo mufflers all the way from manifold to bumper and turn down for 300.00:clap: now. new question.. :) are turbos good? they said they wouldn't be loud at idle like a glass pack but would give a good low tone when I get on it.

i had 2 3/4 inch duals put on my full size chevy with turbos and they sound pretty good. Ask the guys that went to Pataskala last year (if they remember it) the exhuast cost me 328.00 custom bent and with lifetime mufflers. the exhuast is 6 years old and i just had to replace the mufflers lastyear. so the lifetime mufflers were worth the price because they dont last. unless you want to get stainless mufflers that is.
IMO i would have them run at least 2 1/2" any smaller to me just sounds like a nest of pi**ed off bumble bees

2 1/4 aluminized pipe and two glasspacks for $210 here, still on the car, although modified.

Will probably be replaced with 2 1/2 when I'm done.

I just put turbos on my 72 Sprint 200....(I dualed it). Has a nice mellow tone when I get on it. I also had them on my 302, before I went with performance mufflers. The good part about turbo mufflers, they have a lifetime warranty at Midas....When you go duals remember to have an "H" pipe or "X" pipe put in for balance....
