electric fuel pump

    . i was thinking about mounting an holley electric fuel pump on my 73.. is the best location close to the gas tank ?? i still have the stock tank in the car..thanks

    Yes! Electric pumps are for pushing not pulling.

    As Dave said put it as close to the tank as possible . :)

    Behind the tank and lower than the tank is best so the fuel is always in the pump. I know that can't always be done though. Most guys mount their pump right next to the tank on the frame rail (assuming there isn't an exhaust tailpipe nearby.
