I don't know if my Comet has/had one or not.
I haven't had a battery on the darn thing in over a year so I don't recall.
Hopefully I'll find out in a week or 2 when I finally get the motor in it (FINALLY DONE!)
Just brakes, mounting seats, etc now.
Did the 72's come w/ them?
Jamie as for the wiring of the headlight switch. I think its the same as the door buzzer. As long as it has power to it, it'll buzz....
but wait... hrm that means it would buzz all the time. NEVERMIND. haha

My Sprint had them when it was new. I yanked it out within a couple of weeks.
THe best way to prevent that is to use only keyed dead bolts. That way you need the key to lock the door when you leave.

I don't care what anyone says; those things are annoying and need to be yanked out and stomped on...

I no longer have a "buzzer" per se, but instead have a chime box that came with the Thunderbird dash I put in. Yes, it can still be annoying, but I do like being reminded when I leave the headlights on or the keys in the ignition...they are intentionally annoying to get your attention...:)

If I recall..don't Mavericks (at least some years) have two separate buzzers, one for the key warning and a different one for the seatbelts? I think the seatbelt one has some kind of timer built into it...

My '74 does. The seat belts buzzer has a lower sounding tone to it and a "SEAT BELTS" light in the insturment cluster also lights up.

Door buzzer works and I fixed my seat buzzer, both passenger and driver side. I fixed the fasten seatbelt light works to. The PO did a hack job and I couldn't let it go, it had to be fixed.

Looks like you bumped it! Long ago eh

I may aswell keep going with it.. The wires were cut off mine and MIA so a couple months ago I welded them up, grind, litte high build and now there smooth. Hate the damn noise especially in the trucks I've owed...hunting..jump out and all you hear is the buzzer...like that won't scare it away

    ZOMBIE THREADS ......

Somebody voted in the poll - even without a new post, the vote is enough to bump it up.
