60% now! I can say that most of the storms up here have been in the evening ....

 

Well...I'm in Commerce...watching it rain. We're staying at the Americas Best Inn right off 85. We'll go to the track for a bit tomorrow and just chill. I'll be there rain or shine Saturday...and Sunday if necessary. See you guys whenever.

 

Shouldn't be raining much longer according to weather.com ....

 

it's about cleared up now

 

I'm just about ready to leave out in the morning. Got the car loaded up this afternoon, still got a few things to put in the pickup in the morning. Hope to be there a little after lunch tomorrow. We're going to be in the same motel as Ray, staying tomorrow night, all day Sat, and may stay Sat night. Just be me and Deb.

I recommend to all who are coming ... it's gonna be HOT ... bring a cooler full bottled water .. unless you want to spend $4 a bottle at the track ..... I don't have a canopy but will be bring umbrella's. I think Bobby and or Ray may have a canopy ...

 

I may not make it. The guys that I thought were going to come with me, can't. It's Father's Day weekend and they are going off with their families.

The phone system in my house has gone kaput. I need to trace down the problem. I have dial tone at Ma Bell's box outside the house, but not inside the house. The wiring is in the basement, is easy to get to, and I wired my own phones when my house was rebuilt, after the fire, in 1998. All of my jacks are two line and I have 8 jacks to trace. I spent three hours on it tonight and still have places to trace.

 

FYI ....

I have had several votes to postpone the Dixie meet until Tomorrow due to some big rain coming in from over Alabama/Tennessee. Not only would that pretty much mess up the meet ... but will close the track down as well.

I know Ray and Bobby are probably already there but if we do postpone hopefully you guys had planned for tomorrow too?

I am trying to get a hold of Earl to see if he has left yet ... More to come ...

 

Update:

The meet will take place today as planned. We already have folks either up their or on their way so it wouldn't be fair to cancel it now. Georgia weather is crazy ... it could be raining one second and sunny the next. See you guys in Commerce ... My Grabber needs a good undercar detail anyway so if I have to drive in the rain it will give me a reason to do it ...
