Did the Maverick ever have the trunk release in the glove compartment?

    I got the same electric latch as in your photo from a '78 Lincoln Mark IV. Direct install with no modifications.

    I was going to install the switch in my consolette but could not get the consolette to fit with the OEM floor shifter. It would have been nice to have the switch behind a lock. I have not decided where to put the switch. I would like to see where yours was installed.

    I would like to find a vintage switch too.

    Micah, my switch will be behind the rare aftermarket glove box door made for vehicles with a package tray. I was finally able to locate one and will install it whenever I get my car back from the painter. These were made for Mavericks/Comets with and without AC.
