Desert Mavericks.......Sand Box

I went to drive the maverick last week, battery was dead. ok, take the truck.. battery was dead. I suck at this.

Batteries, a necessary evil. Makes me wonder how cars are still operating in the Walking Dead. Most have been sitting for more than two years already. Dead batteries, and the gas has to be well on it's way to varnish.

 

Got a front sump oil pan for $10 at the gcc swap meet. New oil pan gasket and oil pick-up that I ordered from rock auto last week. Just a few more steps closer to getting it running.
Also finally installed my v8 mounts that I've had for many years!
Plan is to drop in the v8 by this weekend

Make sure you put the mounts and frame stands on the correct sides.

The mounts I previously posted turned out to be the wrong ones. Luckily I had another set. The brackets look like someone made. They were also marked wrong. Eventually I got everything figured out.

These are the mounts I have. The ones up front need to be trimmed on the bottom edges. The ones in the back are stock but I had to put them on the opposite way, little leg pointing up instead of down

 

I'm assuming the R means right side but I had to put it on the left

 

Hey guys, I just want the local group to know that I'm advertising my front disk brakes for sale in the classifieds. I'd really like to not have to ship these.

 

Power assist or manual discs?

 

Manual discs. But I don't know that it matters. The master cylinder and booster control that. I hope I haven't confused everyone. I'm not selling the master cylinder.

 

In need of a radiator shop. Don't think my radiator needs any repair just clean up. Do you guys have used any that you'd recommend?

I heard that a radiator shop can also do gas tanks? I need my gas tank cleaned and plug up some emissions non sense. Any suggestions?
