I can drive my Maverick with no hands and it doesn't wander at all...I don't recommend driving that way though...
My Lexus drives straight ahead on a smooth road, but on any uneven surface like a lane that wasnt repaved all the way across, its all over. I think the alignment is too good and will reduce tire wear, but a little more toe in would make it better to drive.
I was there. No car of course. I didn't see any Mavericks, but there were some cars that I haven't seen before at this cruise. It was a fun night, but the turnout didn't seem as large as other years. There were plenty of empty spaces at Park Central Mall.
Anyone up for Mavericks/Comets at the K-Mart show on 67th and Bell road this Saturday night? I am going there to hang out and meet a new Maverick/Comet guy named Mark from Gilbert who contacted me a few weeks ago and wants to meet some of us.
I'll be there by 5:00pm....it fills up quick. I'll probably hang out till about 7:30pm or so...depending.
Despite the Memorial Day weekend there was a TON of great cars at the show. The new guy had car trouble and couldn't make it but Steve Huff and Tony Stewart were there with their Mavericks.
This Sunday is the Glendale Community College swap meet and I am planning to get a spot to sell some stuff. If anyone else has stuff they want to sell you can join me. I won't know what spot I will be in until I get down there...it is first come first served. Bad part is I have to be there at 5:00am to get a spot...ugh. If you want to join me let me know and I can text you the spot once I get it. 6000 W. Olive Ave. Glendale, AZ 85304 Directions Enter on 59th Ave. north of Olive at Vogel (light)
Ford high back bucket seats(not Maverick), windshield, front kick panels(black), deluxe gas cap, gas tank filler tube and new tank seal, 350 cfm Holley 2bbl carb, headlights...that's the bigger stuff...who knows what else I'll find in my garage to haul out there!
Ive been keeping an eye out for a complete roller block with all accessories and an AOD. I would buy a whole donor car if the price was right
