Looks good Gene. Guess that is the reason I was holding onto that hood for 20 years. That guy has skills to get that to look original again.
Here is the link to my original thread on this project. Just posted more pics of new qtr panel installed. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=99686
I just posted a couple more pics on the original thread...metal work done...body work has now started.
You guys wont see me rolling around in my black mustang anymore. I sold it for $6000 and bought an 04 Lexus IS300. Ya I went import but its a 215hp rear wheel drive 4 door so its everything I want in a car nowdays.
Not ragging on you Ryan...but you got $6000 for that??? I need to start flipping Mustangs if that is the case! I just didn't realize that they were getting so much for them.
Most decent fox body mustangs are still $4-5k or so if they are in nice shape, many can be had for less. My car was pretty much the high end of what a Mustang buyer looks for, Black factory interior, 5 speed, 5 lug 4 wheel disc upgrade, and tasteful modifications that dont effect drivability. Combined with a decent body, great working A/C, and the never ending list of new parts I have put on. It probably helped finding just the one buyer that liked the car enough to pay my price. He liked everything I did to the car and was just what he was looking for. He was from texas and was looking for one for a while.
Never. The Mustang was just a cheap daily driver I stumbled on and started driving to reduce a car payment. It paid for itself many times over in $300 a month car payment savings plus sold for almost twice what I had in it. It was fun to work on and build back into a nice car. Buts its also not fun to have to work on your daily driver all the time.
Yeah I can relate Ryan. I remember when I first decided that my street car and work car had to be separate. The cheap guy in me had a fit, but boy did it take the stress out of getting to work every day! Hey good news. I went back in the saved programs for my fuel injection and re-loaded an old program. It started right up and settled into an idle. (Still a rich idle mind you...but at least it starts again!) Now I just need to figure out what I did wrong, so I don't do it again.
