Drive it as least 15 minutes to get everything up to operating temp, unless the problem still comes back in 2 or 3 minutes, if so... O2 sensor may not be the cause.
Allright drove it for about 20 minutes or so at first it idled a little rough but it seems better. So now what buy new ones ? I have herd of running o2 delets has anybody herd of this ?
Dont delete em,pcm will constanly be in open loop and you will use more fuel than you need to among other things.Figure out which one(s) is bad and replace it.Also, make sure its not a wireing harness problem with the O2 sensors.
Just went outside going to remove the o2s and the driverside was loose and the passenger side wasnt to tight either. Maybe ill tightem up and try it again.
Sorry i didnt listen to ya...................Blugene. So much info kinda hard to take it all in. Go outside to try something and forget to check something else.
That don't mean it's gona fix it. It was a suggestion like all the other hundred thousand and hundreds of ideas...
I have a Snap On scanner with several cartridges that I have not used in forever. Do you know or remember if it wil show the O2 values for a Ford? I'm certain it will on a GM but don't recall for a Ford.
no ford did not have a data feed on there obd 1 cars, wich is what he has. you got to do it the old fashion way with a mulitmeter or graphing meter.
Nope that didnt work..................so maybe i need to leave it alone for a little will. I hate to but im so frustrated now. Im afraid im about to just start throwing parts at it and i really cant afford to do that.
