Is this it? I think this one had Michigan plates at some point. Different wheels and a few other things.
We bumped into the guy who owns that Comet a few weeks ago at a car show. For the life of me I can't remember his name. Real nice guy though. His Comet is a real beauty. The Grabber spoiler kit is an add on, but it looks like it belongs on that car. I got a picture of his Marti report while I was there. It may be hard to read, so if it is just save it to your computer and zoom in on it.
Yes, but the curve of it looks more like what you'd see on a '73 Maverick. Did Mavs and Comets both use the same bumper in '73? I guess it must be the right one. I see it on other '73 Comets in the gallery, like this one. They must be the same, or maybe just extremely close, because I can't tell the difference between that one and the '73 Maverick bumper.
Blue is right, front bumpers are the same for both cars in '73 and '74-'77. I find it interesting on that Marti Report and others that I see that there is a charge for A/C and tinted glass. I have heard in the past that tinted glass only came on the factory A/C equipped cars. ????? So are the pics that I posted of the car originally posted in this thread? I don't know for sure but there are similarities. Seth
Mine has what I believe to be factory tint (very light, not a film) but it never had AC. Maybe the doors or the glass got swapped at some point though.
So how could it be one of 4? The lowest number I see is "One of 585 (?) with this paint/trim code) maybe it's one of 4 left in the world? Otherwise it's a cool car.
The 74 price book I have says: Glass, Tinted-complete "Recommended with air conditioner" So I guess you could get it separate...
