Yeah ... a really big grommet .. What is the diameter of the large hole in your adapter? I'll check Home Depot tomorrow for something usable but don't feel like pulling it back apart to measure the hole ...
Hey T.L. Are you positive a Mustang II shifter will have the same clear pointer? I also need the black curved band that goes beneath the pointer and gives the lenses a black background. Would that be the same as a Mustang II? The Mustang II bezel seems to be the same or similar in size ... not small like the early Mustangs.
the hole is 3/4". i checked my mustang II shifter could not find a part number, looks the same though.
Hey Dan Just Done This And Used A Pinto Indicator But The Blue Plastic That Dims The Bulb Was Gone/broke So I Took A Green Turn Sig Indicator From An Ol Dash And Cut It To Fit Looks Good To Me
The ones I've seen appear to be the same. I can't bet my life on it but I think they are all identical. The Mustangs and Torinos had a curved shifter, while those on Mavericks, Comets, Mustang-IIs, and Pintos were straight, but internally, it's all the same stuff (from what I've seen)...
I am also missing the black curved piece that goes beneath the shifter indicator arrow. Would one out of a Pinto work or is it gonna be smaller? Here is the picture of a pinto shifter ....
I won an auction for a $25 shifter on eBay with the parts I need ... thanks to all those that looked for parts for me. Turns out they are not that easy to find and some of the Mustang Houses wanted $50 just for the two pieces I needed ... For those buying a used shifter make sure it comes with all the peices!
