Broken part. What is it?

    I've seen it. It happened to me on a '94 Ford Escort I had.

    Spoke with March Performance (the alternator came with their serpentine kit) about it and was informed that my options were to buy a new one or repair it. New is 260.00. repair is no more than 150. I could purchase a chain store replacement but I'd be trading in my polished piece as a core which just didnt make sense to me.

    I dropped it off at the repair shop today and was informed that these CS-130 case alts tend to do this and have gone to a dual row bearing to try to alleviate the problem. Thats what I'll be getting. I hope to be rolling again by the weekend. Thanks all for the feedback.
