ok so mine are wrong? hum i guess i'm mixed up... wilwoods brembos getting me screwed up then which way is to tighen and which way is the losen?
i was up at earls today and we fixed his brakes. then i went ahead and turned my rotors around like his . we went to the a/c man to get a price to put a/c in the grabber. had lunch then made it back down the interstate home :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman ...frank...
I too was curious which way was correct, so I wrote an email to the guys at Rotorpros with Earls' pictures attached. Earls' way is correct. Here is what they replied. If this picture is the Left Driverside then it's correct. The only thing mounting them oppositely will do is wear your pads down a little faster. It really isn't that big of a deal so no need to panic. If for some reason you do get vibration at high speeds then definately change them around. Thanks
I'm glad I sent him the email - because mine were marked wrong on the box. He should have better instructions included with them. Glad this thread came up!
Pic album of NON-STOCK Apps. Maybe there needs to be a picture album solely dedicated to the proper way something is to look when done right. Anyone else agree. I mean it is great to be able to look through the photos of other members and see what they have done but it would also be nice to see pictures of NON-STOCK applications. I.E - The correct way to put on a slotted/drilled rotor. And to also show enough of the car as to leave no doubt as to which section you are looking at (right front wheel/left front wheel). Dead horse?
if the caliper is on the right of the rotor...drivers side... if the caliper is on the left side of the rotor...pass. side... ...frank...
they look a lot better...you can't see them. you can see mine through my... cragar street stars...frank...
