The pulley set has a reverse rotation waterpump pulley, the first bracket set you linked is for the passener side inlet waterpump (pre 70), the second bracket set? Says it fits 1970-up, but looks the same as the first. The setup in the pic? :thumbs2:

That's a reverse pump and a std rotation cover. Doesn't look like a stock pump with that backing plate. That allows it to mate the timing cover without gasket problems. I haven't had the opportunity to study the early Fox pumps to see how they look and match the timing covers, but that could be it. I DO know Ford revised the timing covers sometime in the mid 80's and the ports match that reverse pump you have. I have pics of both style covers in my photobucket site http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p53/baddad457/ Look at pic #13. One cover is a C9OE casting (1969-up) the other is an E7TE casting (87-97 reverse rotation) for the 87-93 Stang, 87-97 F & E series trucks and vans

well its been a while since ive messed with the engine, ive mostly been under the hood. though i did change out the front cover for an '77 one to run a mechanical fuel pump and i plan on buying a normal rotation pump. i had a few things i was going to pick up from mustangs unlimited and thought i might see if i could get a bracket too.
