Jamie, I am proud of you and what you have accomplished. With youngsters like you, our hobby of restoring and customizing the old American iron may live on. Thanks. I do have one question, though. When do you go to school?
I'm on a modified schedual, I only go the first 3 periods of the day. My teachers decided I needed it for some reason... Not like I'm going to complain with them about it.
Just got back from a couple of trips up and down the neighborhood, THIS CAR IS SWEET! I love the way it rides, and I think it would easily blow the doors off my mom's 02' Taurus. Man this thing has some get up and go! If you cruise about 20 mph with you foot on the gas just enough to keep the engine reved a little, it has a slight misfire, might be the plugs again (they looked pretty bad on the cylinders that weren't firing before). Might need the carb adjusted a little also. Brakes... you have to pump them about 3 times, and for the first 2 pump the "BRAKES" light flashes on and off and on the 3rd time it has a good pedal and stops as good as you could expect drums to. I bled them like crazy, anyone got any other ideas? This car drives like nothing else I have driven, and believe me I have driven some old falling apart cars before. I like the way this car drives alot.
Yep Terry, it's looking that way. I got to get off my lazy butt and REALLY get to work on this car, April is creepin' up quick! My dad dosen't have anything good to say about Fun Ford (or about anything else lately, hes starting to really piss me off). He took his Comet there for several years and he says it was going down hill more and more every year he went. Last time he went was in 97' and he said there were gangs and stuff running around and a fight broke out and they tried to drag him into it, so he just left the show. I'm guessing/hopeing it has gotten better since then.
Jamie; we had a blast out there last year. Good event. Send me yours and Tylor's address, so I can get your creds to you when they are sent out. Just PM me or email me through the board. BTW, good job on the car. It has come a long way since I saw it last. Looking forward to seeing it mobile. Later, Earl
