Why do you even need them? The top of the door works just fine. I would eliminate them all together. Just my opinion, but mounting them on the metal portion looks ridicules, especially when the top of the door is only a few inches higher.

    I do not need them.
I was just wondering what people did.......I do not have a show car (WE all know this) but I was just trying to clean it up a bit and I was figuring somebody had figured out a neat way to fill in the "holes" that are there when the armrest is removed.

If you are wanting to cover it up. Use a piece of luan plywood and cut it to shape insert a couple of std door panel clips. Cover it with 1/4 inch foam then cover it with interior matching vinyl. Use spray adhesive and a little heat to stretch the vinyl. You will need to drill a couple of larger holes to match the clips then it will just snap on.

Go buy some 1/8" aluminum, cut out 2 plates big enough to cover the arm rest area, take them to an engraving place and have the Maverick logo engraved on them, polish them up, install.
