if you go to http://groups.msn.com/71mav/shoebox.msnw you can check my 71 4dr out. it is currently in the engine lab getting a new 360 h.p. 302 installed. i don't know if that is what you meant by hot 4 dr's but it will do quite well on the street. the engine in the pics is the original 302 that was untouched for 33 years. i have about 1 year in this one so far.
my wife drove mine and wanted one so we picked her up a 77 4 dr with a 250 that we are going to do the clifford treatment to and get it up to 200 h.p.
i love building the cars everyone else overlooks.

when i get done the only thing original on the engine will be the block and crank. i am using the edelbrock rpm power kit which they rate at 367 h.p. and 340 ft/lbs tourque. my builder says it should be around 350 -360 realisticly. heres the run down.

    performer rpm intake #7121
    performer rpm camshaft kit #7122
    performer rpm heads #6025
performer carb 750 cfm electric choke
    performer-linl timing chain set #7820
edelbrock valve springs #5767 (with heads)
    edelbrock retainers #9724
    edelbrock valve locks #9611
    bore--- 4.000+.030
    stroke--- 3.000 stock
    crank--- factory-- shot peaned
rods---factory( poished and shotpeaned) 5.090" center to center with a.r.p.
    pistons--- trw #l-2482f
    rings speed-pro #r9343+.035"5/64x5/64x3/16
    gaskets--- fell-pro complete gasket set
    headers--- hooker 6901-1 ceramic coated
    high flow milodon water pump
    hitachi racing starter
    edelbrock high volume fuel pump
edelbrock head bolts and retainer bushings
factory distributer ( for now )
changing column shift to floor shift to accomodate headers
    racing harmonic balancer
still undecided on what rockers to use. i am leaving it up to my builder

i am probably forgeting some stuff but that is the basic rundown. oh yea--- and one INCREDIBLE wife who is allowing me to spend all this time and money on my dream toy. i am going to have it at turkey rod run over thanksgiving so if anyone wants to meet up send a private message and i will give you my cell #. i will keep everyone posted on how well (or bad) this kit works out.

maverick 73-- i am using the 1500-6500 rpm's. these 302 don't make any power down low and i am running a 3000 stall converter in the trans. for a daily driver i might chose the lower range but for a weekend toy the higher will work better.
as for silver springs i would like to go but i am still talking the wife into it. i will probably go ahead and register to insure that i get the 2 free tickets if i decide to go. i think part-time was talking about going up too. i have never been to silver springs so it might be nice to get away.

Jason, That cars gonna fly when you get finished. Ya'll should come to the Silver Springs show. It's huge. Many things to do there for the wife and kids if they get bored looking at cars. Plus, we'll break that engine in good on the way. I don't stay overnight. I make the drive each day. We need a larger showing of Maverick/Comet Club cars to beat out the CAMEO Club.

Hey PART-TIME, What's the set up there? Do you have the car show and whoever wants to stay at the car show does, and whoever wants to go and do the things in park does.

Yep, The car show is actually inside the park. You can look at the cars or go enjoy what the park has to offer. Kiddy rides, safari ride, glass bottom boat ride, etc. and shops and eateries.
