They would indeed...I used to have that exact intake (I sold it). The lack of tuned runners affected the low end torque...that intake seems to be designed more for high RPM racing, and my car is more of a cruiser. :) It also does not have provisions for an EGR valve...not a big deal, but at the time I didn't have the Tweecer to make tuning adjustments and I wanted to keep as much of the factory stuff as possible to help make it run right...

You know how to cure that right???

Build a 408w and put that intake on!
You will have plenty of torque for tooling around... :drive:

You know how to cure that?

Man O War block with 4.155" bore and 3.4" stroke! :D
Put you close to 370 cid in a 302 package...

    You have a W don't you?
    Why didn't you do a 393w or 408w?
The 393 only costs about 200 bux more than a stock rebuild.
The 408 is pretty spendy though.

i would love to have a Man O War Block

i got this motor before i knew about this site , and thats where i learned that a 393 is as cheap as a rebuild :slap:

the engine i have was a very good motor , but i didnt spend that much on my rebuild....just reringed it and new bearings , the cylinder walls still had cross hatch from the factory and there was NO ring wear in the cylinder(you know the lip the rings make in the cylinder wall...the van i got it out of supposed to have 100k plus but by looking at the engine i think it had been repaced NOT that long ago. The van was wrecked so i knew the engine didnt blow up.

but i do have another W block in the building...im thinking of somethin in future but more i think i might sell it a purse a C :)

Just put a intake on it like this one, then the tower braces should clear no problem.

That intake came to mind as well.
It will have the same or higher rpm power band as the Comp intake though.

    This is bad...
I am sitting and mentally building a 393w EFI now.
    Never done that before.
I'm thinkin' Ford blue engine, powder coat the lower in blue, top it with the Comp upper...
Maybe a 75mm BBK throttle body.
Painless wiring harness. (Have you seen the price on those?!?)
    Electric fans
    Electric water pump
    95ish high output alternator
    Crites headers

    Haven't thought about heads yet...
    Maybe GT40x :drive:

    Okay, I'm done daydreaming ;)

    I've had a few
I think that's Tim Holland's car. I've seen his car in person, it is the same color and fuel injected, but I haven't seen under the hood.
