I like the way Rick triangulated his.
He's got them tied to the firewall, but it looks to have an angle that is less than desireable, so he also tied them to a Monte Carlo bar.
That is how I would try to do it for best support.

    Mark:
I used to know the exact dimension, but it has been 10 years...
27.5" comes to mind, but I would be lying if I said I knew it was right.
That could be the width of the Cleveland as far as I know nowadays.

I know the stock braces would not line up proper.
I portapowered the towers apart until they fit, then gave them a bit more for insurance. I put the engine in, and the braces fit like a glove when I was done.

Actually it won't be off if you measure from the top/center of one shock to the top/center of the other.

My car is not here or I would try...

Wonder if the stock braces would work with this intake?

Probably shifts the power band quite a bit higher.
The long runners of the top manifold are tuned for good torque.
Shorter runners = better top end with lower torque loss.

I've bought everything I need to put EFI on my 73, now I just to find the time to pull the existing motor, drop in the roller motor with the AOD, and then start wiring...I can't wait!!

    I've had a few
I've been thinking about offering up some $$$ to my uncle for the '95 Mustang GT convertable my cousin totalled earlier this year. Relatively low mileage EFI 5.0 HO/5 speed with black interior. That drivetrain and parts of the interior would be awesome in my '69.5. Wonder if the entire dash and console would fit...
