That is a great deal. I will probably have to take you up on it. What year are the heads? Any idea what the compression will be on a 302? Will the springs be ok for a 270H Comp cams cam? Do they need a valve job? Sorry about all the questions, I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but have to ask!! Thanks, Jim
Sorry about all the questions, No problem. The heads are 1970. Compression depends on your pistons, head gasket, overbore, etc, so it's hard to say. With my setup as described above I think I calculated just over 9.00:1. It's been less than 30,000 miles since they were rebuilt, so the valves should be ok. They have stock 351 springs and retainers installed, don't know what your cam requires. They worked ok with my Edelbrock Performer Plus cam. The stock umbrella-type valve stem seals look like they may be getting hard. If I were going to use these heads again, I would probably install positive type seals like the new heads have.
My email address is jpollard@grm.net. I would like to call you about the heads, send your phone number please. My ph# is 660-872-6574 if you want to call. Jim
