6901 Header Problem

    They needed no mods at all,fit well.But I can't remember the part #,they were just the cheapest long tubes Hedman had.

    Man I remember when I put headers on my 72 Grabber back in 1974. It had power steering, and I had to get the drop bracket. My buddy's were freaking cause no chevy cars had problems like this. In the end, my buddy's did get Ford envy as my car would outrun them all. I have had 3 different headers over the 33 years I have owned these cars, Cragar hotpipes,, no longer in production. Doug Thorley,, no longer in production and Hooker 6901 in which proves to be the best fit for me. The Cragar hotpipes even worked with column shift automatic. I still have the Doug Thorley long tubes and am going to put them on my 71 that I am building.
