Hello. A while back I inquired about the value of a 1977 maverick 4-door V-8 302 with A/C with approximately 78,000 miles. The car belongs to a neighbor.
The car runs but has not been on the road for about 10 years and has been garage kept. Any estimates on the value? I realize ebay would be a good place to list it but, I would be interested on hearing your thoughts on its worth. Thanks.

has it been at least started in those 10 years? offer him $800 and see what happens. I wouldnt buy it for more than $1000, thats depending on what the motor is like. but than again I dont like 4 doors and the big bumpers dont help

I am not interested in buying the car. I am just trying to help my neighbor determine its value. Yes, he starts the car every month or so and backs it out of the garage. It has not been on the road in ten years.

    Thanks for the reply.

Car looks to be in pretty good shape. "I think" it's worth $1,000 - $2,000, maybe more if someone REALLY wants it. It's really hard to say. Seems 4 door prices have been all over the place lately.

Looks like it has lights under the dash or something? Did all 77's have that?

Looks like there are some awfully big dents in the driver's door.

I say no more than $1500

$1800 tops but you might be hard pressed to get it. $1200-$1500 range should be easy to get providing it runs good. If the air works then I'd push for the $1800.
