Good Afternoon everyone! This seems like a stupid question I'm asking, but despite having the entire 1973 Ford-Mercury-Lincoln OEM Shop Manual (6 volumes), and having searched high and low online for a vacuum line diagram for the Ford 250cid L6 motor, I cannot find one anywhere. Does anyone have one? I don't care if it's hand drawn, or it's just a photo of your engine with the lines all hooked up and a few tool-tips, I just need an example, preferably with some pictures. My buddy and I are new to working on classic vehicles, and so the vacuum system, while likely elementary to some, is fairly complicated for us having never worked on one before. The only two vehicles I've done extensive work on so far has been an 89' BMW 325is and a 93' Mazda Mx-5. I understand the concept behind how it works, how it's supposed to work, and the general mechanics behind it, but because I can't find a diagram anywhere, the how-to and the where-this-hose-goes aspect of the vacuum system is entirely lost on me. Our little Comet project has gone well so far, as we've gotten the car to drive under it's own power for the first time in likely a decade, have redone wiring, and the electricals for the ignition from the ground up. The only hitch we've hit into getting her to purr like a kitten is the considerable vacuum leaks due to either missing lines, or not having lines connected properly. Any help, tips, articles or responses of any kind would be greatly appreciated!
